Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Military Engagement Task Lead to join our team at MacDill Air Force Base, supporting the Unites States Special Operations Command (SOCOM).

Responsibilities

    Lead SMEP planning, coordination, and execution of military engagement and strategic communications activities.
  • Develop, review, and manage publication content (doctrine, guidance, white papers, training materials).
  • Serve as primary government liaison for program stakeholders; coordinate with interagency and coalition partners.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise to leadership on engagement strategy, messaging, and policy implications.
  • Manage task-level teams, subcontractors, and SMEs; ensure quality control and timely deliverables.
  • Conduct assessments, lessons-learned capture, and recommend improvements to engagement programs.
  • Brief senior leaders and produce decision-grade reports and recommendations.
  • Experience with Senior Military Engagement Programs or equivalent
  • Familiarity with CCMD engagement authorities and processes
  • Experience managing OCONUS teams (Stuttgart, Hawaii, SOUTHCOM)
  • Experience coordinating with Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs)


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in military engagement, strategic communications, or related fields
  • Skills: Publication development and editorial oversight, stakeholder engagement/government liaison, program/task leadership, strong written/verbal communication and briefing skills

Desired / Preferred

  • Prior SMEP or equivalent program experience
  • Experience working with interagency, coalition partners, or foreign government counterparts
  • Familiarity with doctrine/publication development processes and approvals
  • Domain: Familiarity with DoD/COCOM/TSOC environments preferred
  • Experience with strategic messaging in support of national security objectives

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
