WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

The Sign & Signal Maintenance Worker performs installation, maintenance and repair of signs and signals; reports to the Main Shop Facility.

Work Schedule

Summer hours: 6 AM - 4PM Monday -Thursday with the weekly on-call working Tuesday - Friday

Winter hours: 7 AM- 3 PM Monday -Friday

On-Call

The sign and signal maintenance worker consists of three positions that are required to rotate on a weekly basis to respond to emergency sign and signal after hours issues. In addition, these three positions share a duel (two person) plow route in the winter. They are required to rotate between plowing and responding to emergency sign and signal issues outside of the normal work schedule.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Three (3) years of road maintenance or road construction, work experience involving signal equipment or sign maintenance, or closely related field.
3. Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
4. Valid Wisconsin Class A Commercial Driver License with air brake endorsement within six (6) months of hire.
5. TCC Traffic certification, Flagger certification, and Traffic Signal Technician Level I within one (1) year of employment.
