Summary
The GIS Technician I/II/III provides mapping services and related information to various departments company-wide and outside entities for a geographical area using specialized software. Completes all work assigned with minimal supervision and instruction and an understanding of where and how to adhere to priority and turnaround time frames. Operates interfacing computer programs, reads/interprets blueprints/engineering drawings, and manipulates/understands digital data to be managed and entered into the database. Possesses moderate knowledge of mapping techniques/procedures and drafting standards. Has ability to read and interpret inter-discipline drawings. Minimum Requirements

Major Accountabilities
1) With oversight, enters transmission and distribution facility information into the GIS database. Ensures accurate and complete positioning/status of new electric facility locations in the GIS with thought to relation of; existing facilities, active work, and associated integrated systems (ADMS, CYME, CCB) status and functionality. Export Compliance / EEO Statement Employees in hybrid roles work both in their home offices (virtually) and alongside their colleagues (in person). In order for employees to build strong relationships and to promote meaningful in-person interactions, hybrid employees are expected to work about 40% of their time in-person at an APS or other (non-home office) location.
