Job Summary:
Conference Coordinators plan and manage multiple academic and professional conferences throughout the year, both on and off campus. They collaborate with campus departments and organizers to oversee all aspects of event planning-including registration and website creation, logistics coordination, room diagrams, food and beverage planning, and audiovisual needs-while successfully managing multiple fast-paced events simultaneously. 40 hours a week. 5 days a week, schedule will vary depending on the conference schedule. The primary hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00 - 4:00, with an occasional night and or weekend depending on conference/program schedule. Position is scheduled to last 6 months with possibility of extension based on employer needs. Key Job Responsibilities:
Wisconsin Union, Conferences and Events- Conferences and Event Services Compensation:$21.00 per hour +$2.50per hour Differential, for hours worked from 6pm - 6am +$ .80 per hour Differential, for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:*Experience working in Customer Service 6 months or more *Experience working in Event Planning and/or event management 1 year or more Education: How to Apply:Click the "Apply" button to start the application process.
