Position Summary: The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting in all Community Center programs including general office and program related support including assisting visitors, clients, and staff. Serves as the main resource for questions and program guidance in the absence of the Director/Coordinator. Works with the Summer Lunch Bunch Coordinator to conduct The Salvation Army's Summer Lunch Bunch Program, oversees planning and logistics involved in the provision of served food. Essential Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Education/Experience: * High School Diploma / GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: * Ability to supervise others, particularly volunteers, and work as part of a team. * Ability to work with adults and children. Computer Skills: * Basic computer skills * Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 a plus Certificates and Licenses: * Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed * Must have and maintain a current valid chauffers' license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR) or obtain this endorsement within 30 days * Ability to drive and handle a box refrigerated truck and a Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Vehicle * ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days | |
