Registered Nurse - Slippery Rock, PA

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• This position requires a Registered Nurse.
• A minimum of one (1) year current nursing experience is preferred.
• A current Pennsylvania License and a genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
• In addition, a current and valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
• BLS certified preferred.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for coordinating physicians and clinics at our program center as directed by HSS/ AHSS. This is a professional position which involves providing direct nursing care to persons with developmental and physical disabilities and maintaining their medical records to comply with current nursing practice and state regulations. This position reports to the Health Services Supervisor and/or Assistant Health Services Supervisor. This position requires traveling throughout group homes.

Program Description:

Merakey AVS is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.

Earn $38/hour plus a $4/hour shift differential for 2nd shift hours worked.
