Materials Handler II - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

The Materials Handler II is responsible for transporting, organizing, and distributing materials and equipment throughout facility locations to support operational and construction activities. This role includes operating a cab-over style box truck, moving heavy toolboxes and construction materials, and maintaining organized storage areas. The Materials Handler II ensures materials are accurately tracked, readily available when requested, and properly stocked to support ongoing work. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently during second shift operations.

Job Responsibilities

  Operate a cab-over style box truck to transport materials, equipment, and supplies throughout facility locations.

  Move heavy toolboxes, gang boxes, and construction materials safely and efficiently.

  Organize storage cages and maintain orderly material storage areas.

  
  
• 
  

  Retrieve and distribute requested materials to appropriate teams or departments.

  Identify materials and supplies accurately to fulfill requests quickly and efficiently.

  Coordinate with the stockroom to order or replenish materials when inventory levels are low.

  Maintain accurate tracking of materials and ensure proper documentation when required.

  Follow all safety procedures when transporting and handling materials.

  Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  Assist with additional material handling or logistics tasks as assigned.

  
  

Job Requirements

• 
  

  High school diploma or equivalent.

  
  
• 
  

  Experience operating a cab-over style box truck.

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to safely move and handle heavy materials and equipment.

  
  
• 
  

  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to recognize materials and manage inventory requests.

  
  
• 
  

  Good communication skills and ability to work independently.

  Ability to follow safety guidelines and operational procedures.

  
  

Work Experience

• 
  

  3-5 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or facilities support.

  
  
• 
  

  Experience supporting construction materials or facility operations preferred.
