This core responsibility for this role will be to lead content and campaign strategy for assigned clients, owning planning, execution, reporting, and ongoing optimization for our nonprofit clients, as well as assist in other content related activities. This role will be responsible for managing Google Ads accounts, managing Paid Ads on various platforms, analyzing Google Analytics data, optimizing web content for SEO/GEO, writing web content, providing social media strategy, and generally making strategic recommendations for optimizing web content and marketing efforts.
Because we are a web agency that works with nonprofits, our ideal candidate will have experience working with the nonprofit community in addition to a working knowledge of WordPress site administration. For certain projects, this position will be asked to coordinate timelines, track deliverables, communicate updates to clients, and ensure campaigns stay on scope and on schedule. This position will report to the Director of Digital Strategy.
Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted strategic partner to nonprofit clients, guiding conversations, clarifying goals, and translating ideas into actionable plans

Google Ads management, specifically the nuances that come with managing Nonprofit Ad Grant accounts to optimize their spend within the limitations of the grant

Paid Ads management on Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and an interest and desire to work on new platforms

Create and implement SEO/GEO strategies, including performing keyword research (using SemRush and other tools) to optimize web content for SEO/GEO

Write web copy for nonprofits, both short and long-form

Create marketing strategies and supporting assets such as emails, pop-ups, ads, and web page content

Set up analytics reports using GA4 and Looker Studio, as well as analyze data and provide recommendations based on those findings

Compile campaign reports based on data from various sources, such as Google Analytics, email services, and CRMs

Provide strategic advice on how nonprofits can effectively use social media to support their campaigns

Ability to edit copy for grammar, SEO/GEO, and marketing opportunities

Create, format, and update content in WordPress
-
Coordinate campaign activities with other team members, update timelines, and coordinate communication with clients
Desired Skills/Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have at least basic knowledge or experience in most of the following:

At least 3 years experience managing digital ad platforms, specifically Google and Meta
-
Experience with SEO, writing for search engines, keyword analysis, and writing

Experience with both creating and implementing marketing and fundraising strategies

Background in copywriting and copy editing, content presentation, and content delivery

Knowledge of Google Analytics 4, bonus points for knowing your way around Looker Studio as well

Comfortable working with clients, both in written deliverables and verbally on video calls

Empathetic analyst with proven experience leading stakeholder or client conversations, distilling goals and audience needs, and turning them into clear scopes, timelines, and strategic plans

Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Experienced and enthusiastic juggler (literally would be cool, but we’re speaking metaphorically here), comfortable managing multiple client accounts simultaneously without sacrificing clarity, quality, or follow-through

Passionate about nonprofits, especially progressive causes

Ability to remain cheerful, calm, and organized even though the *$%@ conference line isn’t working for everyone AGAIN

Knowledge of WordPress and WordPress visual builders, including Gutenberg

Knowledge of best practices in web design and development, particularly around performance and SEO
