Overview

Golden Key Group (GKG) is seeking a Human Resources Specialist III to provide advanced-level Human Resources management and technical support. Responsibilities include acting as an expert in resolving complex HR issues pertaining to Federal benefits (FERS, CSRS, TSP, FEGLI, FEHB, FERCCA), retirement counseling, RIF/severance pay, and federal workers' compensation (FECA/OWCP). The role also includes conducting seminars, advising senior management, and interpreting OPM guidelines to ensure compliance. Responsibilities may involve assisting with the new hire onboarding and separation processes for complex cases.

This position is being recruited in support of potential future contract awards, and qualified candidates may be considered for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government clients.



Responsibilities

    Provide advanced-level Human Resources management and technical support.
  • Resolve complex HR issues related to Federal benefits programs.
  • Provide retirement counseling and guidance related to FERS, CSRS, and TSP.
  • Support workforce actions including RIF and severance pay processes.
  • Provide guidance related to federal workers' compensation programs including FECA and OWCP.
  • Conduct seminars and informational briefings on federal HR programs and benefits.
  • Advise senior management on HR policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Interpret OPM guidelines and federal HR regulations.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and separation processes for complex cases.


Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret
  • Expert knowledge of Federal HR laws and regulations (e.g., OPM, FEGLI, FEHB, FERS, CSRS, TSP, USERRA, FECA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex HR issues.
  • Exceptional counseling, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with federal HR information systems (e.g., CHRIS, DOEINFO).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field + 5 years specialized HR experience.
  • Equivalency: Associate's Degree + 7 years specialized HR experience; OR 9 years specialized HR experience.
  • Master's Degree or relevant professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI-PHR) can substitute for 2 years of experience.
