The team

Our SAP practice specializes in delivering SAP S/4HANA transformations across industries including chemicals, discrete manufacturing, wholesale distribution, food processing, consumer products, IM&C, and Aerospace & Defense. Our consultants combine deep technical expertise with strong business process knowledge to deliver high-impact solutions that help clients modernize operations and unlock value from their SAP investments. From initial design through post-go-live support, our team leverages SAP best practices, industry templates, and proven change management methodologies to drive adoption, innovation, and long-term client success.

The role

Hitachi Digital Services is seeking an experienced SAP SD Lead to lead the design and implementation of Order-to-Cash solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments. This role requires a hands-on leader who can work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design scalable SD solutions, configure system functionality, and guide implementation teams through successful project delivery.

The Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing SAP S/4HANA SD solutions that support complex business processes including sales quotations, pricing strategies, delivery management, billing, and integration with logistics modules. This role will also lead teams through full lifecycle implementations, oversee solution architecture decisions, and ensure alignment between business requirements and SAP best practices.

This position supports national clients and can be based anywhere within the United States. Regular travel is required to support client engagements.

What you'll bring





  • 6-8+ years of SAP experience implementing SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) functionality



  • Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA configuration experience supporting the full Order-to-Cash cycle



  • Experience with key SD areas, including Sales Org Structure, Pricing, Sales Orders, Contracts, Delivery, Shipping, and Billing



  • Experience with Available-to-Promise (ATP) and integration with other logistics modules



  • Knowledge of Fiori applications supporting Order-to-Cash processes



  • Experience supporting multiple sales channels, including eCommerce and EDI



  • Led 3-4 full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations (version 1709 or higher) as a Team Lead or Solution Architect



  • Prior consulting experience with a management or IT consulting firm



  • Experience leading teams, including onshore and offshore delivery models



  • Bachelor's degree required





Additional Skills


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills



  • Experience presenting SAP solutions to leadership and large audiences



  • Expertise in business process design, process mapping, and solution implementation



  • Experience with SAP ACTIVATE methodology preferred



  • Knowledge of data migration, testing strategies, cutover planning, and solution management processes



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)



  • Experience working within industrial manufacturing, consumer products, or chemical industries preferred



  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills



  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships and lead consulting teams
