Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Weapons Program Analyst to provide management support to the U.S. Navy Team Submarine organization at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. We are seeking a candidate to join our team and assist the Navy in the development, procurement and sustainment of cutting-edge undersea warfare technology. You will provide direct support to the Team Submarine's PMS 404 Undersea Weapons Program Office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of the communication strategy, key messages, and briefing materials for Navy senior leaders for the purpose of making critical decisions on Navy's investment strategy that support Navy's torpedo enterprise, designated missions and war fighting capability.
- Work across Navy PEO Staff and Program Office Branches; evaluate procurement profiles, summarize relevant information, and brief government clients. Apply understanding of agencies' mission, organizational interrelationships and priorities and consider the resource implications of decisions.
- Facilitate communications between the warfare centers, the program office, the tech warrant holders, Resource Sponsors and oversight organizations.
- Draft and route correspondence relating to Congressional and Flag Officer inquiries.
- Provide strategic support for enterprise objectives, including developing governance, briefings, messaging and progress tracking.
- Oversees tasking, correspondence, and executive coordination to ensure timely, accurate, and well-informed leadership decision making.
- Provide support for emergent tasking requirements as identified by Team Submarine Senior Leadership (this includes, but is not limited to research, change management, project management).
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of experience in Navy (or other DoW service) program/project management, acquisition and/or in-service programs.
- Experience with MS Teams and MS Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Navy (or DoW) budgeting.
- Capable of performing tasks without constant reminders; ability to recognize and complete adjacent tasking without direction.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, technical or related field (or commensurate work experience).
- Required clearance level - Active DOD Secret clearance.
Desired Experience:
- Prior experience supporting a U.S. Navy weapons program office or active-duty Navy experience.
- Prior submarine, surface, or air warfare qualification is preferred.
- Able to prioritize work tasks and functions across multiple product lines or stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team.
- Prior experience working with data visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau).
Work Location: Vicinity of Washington Navy Yard. Telework options for 1-2 days per week after all initial onboarding and team integration is completed (estimated 2-4 months).
Travel: potential for travel (up to 10%)
