Job Summary:

The Senior FE shall report directly to the Technical Manager and be responsible for supporting ongoing projects as well as being an integral part of the new project start-up and project close-out process. They will work closely with the site level engineers to ensure IES delivers consistent deliverables to our customers and teams. General

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

New Project Start-Up Build the initial product submittal based on the IFC drawings. Build the preliminary cable schedules and open any resulting RFIs. Work with the site resources to ensure that the engineering pre-planning documents have been completed. Provide training and assistance to site engineering teams as required. Conduct an engineering kick-off meeting with local engineers, covering: Comprehensive drawing review RFI discussion Evaluation of cable schedules and installation trackers Submittal examination Existing Site Support Conduct weekly meetings with local engineering teams, ensuring a clear agenda is set. Include project PMs as optional participants. Provide guidance and support to site-level engineers as required. Closely monitor site progress and deliver regular feedback to the Technical Manager. Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established by the TM and IES across all sites. Offer guidance and assistance in structuring RFIs, ensuring clarity and completeness. Systematically review and monitor RFIs and submittals for all assigned projects, maintaining quality control. Facilitate project close-out review meetings, ensuring the close-out checklist is completed and the site documentation is complete and submitted on time. Promote best practices and knowledge sharing across engineering teams to enhance overall project performance. Serve as a liaison between site-level teams and the Technical Manager. Special Projects Provide support for other projects as needed. Red line drawings and support for small projects that cannot support a full-time engineer. Other tasks assigned by the Technical Manager. Min USD $38.00/Hr. Max USD $40.00/Hr.

Qualifications

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional, and lead others to create, develop, and implement project process improvement(s). Must have proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentation(s). Must be able to diagnose and fix problems with existing equipment and new installs. Must be enthusiastic, passionate, patient, and a critical thinker. Must be able to communicate with the customer and have excellent customer service skills. Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements. Must be able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. Regular attendance is mandatory Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Will have at least 3-4 years commercial low voltage/structured cabling experience. Must be able to work well with other people Must have experience working with Bluebeam software. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project). Must meet Company minimum driving standards. Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Must have demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop, detailed associated tasks, and manage these to final completion and customer turnover.
