What You Will Experience In This Role:

The Data Reporting Analyst is a customer-facing role responsible for delivering custom reporting, analytics, dashboards, and data scripts to support customer business needs. This position gathers requirements, develops and validates reporting solutions, executes database scripts, and provides customer training to ensure successful adoption.

Responsibilities:



  • Consult with customers to gather requirements for custom reports, dashboards, analytics, and data extracts; document definitions, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop, test, and deliver custom reporting solutions (e.g., Crystal Reports, dashboards, and ad hoc SQL-based outputs).
  • Write, test, and execute scripts to support reporting needs, imports/updates, and customer-specific configurations in Oracle and Firebird environments.
  • Develop and/or modify database objects as needed (e.g., queries, stored procedures) and support PL/SQL-based solutions.
  • Validate data accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain and enhance existing reporting solutions by improving usability, standardizing metrics, and optimizing performance.
  • Support quoting activities for Data Services work (create and send quotes; track status; follow up on high-value quotes as needed).
  • Perform form changes and testing; deliver completed updates when required to support reporting outcomes.
  • Provide customer training (remote and/or onsite) on reporting tools and related functionality, including: Import script writing, Dashboards, Forms Designer, Event Manager, Screen Editor, OcDIA, Database Structure
  • Build and modify Screen Designer themes as needed.
  • Travel onsite to perform Data Services work when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


You have:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Systems or related field
  • 6+ months in a reporting/data services role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with Quantum Control
  • SQL and relational data concepts; ability to analyze and validate data outputs.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle and Firebird/Interbase databases.
  • Experience developing/modifying Oracle stored procedures and strong PL/SQL skills (or ability to build these skills quickly).
  • Reporting development experience (e.g., Crystal Reports) and strong attention to detail.
  • Customer-facing communication skills (email/phone/in-person) and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to operate independently with high productivity and reliability.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Import script writing for Oracle and Firebird.
  • Familiarity with Accounting and Shop Control modules
  • Experience delivering classroom/remote training and creating customer documentation.
