The Data Entry Clerk, under general supervision, will perform a variety of functions from data entry in all lines of business including, but not limited to, assisting Sales, Customer Service, Dispatch, Residential, Commercial, and/or Roll Off. This position uses problem solving skills daily to resolve and maintain accurate records for our customers and billing.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Perform data entry in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Assist with open interviews, drug screens, and submission of background checks for potential candidates *Specific to Operations*
  • Interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner
  • Maintains a professional work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
  • Provide administrative back up for Receptionist covering scheduled time off *Specific to Operations*
  • Provide administrative support to Customer Service Manager *Specific to RAG*
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Supervisory Responsibility:



  • This position will not manage employees



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Excellent customer service, data entry, and communication etiquette
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Possess proven analytical/problem-solving solutions for the customer and the company
  • General knowledge of office functions
  • Must work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team
  • Able to meet deadlines and complete assignments within stated time limits
  • Be able to always present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong organizational and time management skills



Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • Waste industry (Roll Off, Residential and Commercial lines of business) experience preferred
  • Previous experience in Sales Support, Administrative Assistance, or similar



Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:



  • Frequently lifting/carrying a max of 20 lbs
  • Occasionally pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbs
  • Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 100 lbs
  • Rarely working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions
  • Rarely working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
  • Occasionally stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
  • Occasionally climbing and/or balancing
  • Frequently sitting/standing
  • Occasionally walking



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Exposure to residential and commercial waste
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language
