Position Highlights

The University of Arizona School of Music is accepting applications for a Cello Instructor and a Saxophone Instructor for Fall Semester 2026. This is a unique opportunity to work with undergraduate and graduate students who are studying cello or saxophone performance, music education, and Bachelor of Arts in Music majors, music minors, and non-majors in applied lessons, studio class, and chamber music.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Instruct in field of
    expertise: Cello/Saxophone Lessons, Studio Class, and Chamber
    ensembles.
  • Hold regular office hours.
  • Assign grades to students,
    based upon performance in class assignments and exams/juries.
  • Attend meetings as
    required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's
    degree in Cello/Saxophone Performance or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching in the
    public or private school system and in working with individual students.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in music, with an emphasis in cello/saxophone performance or similar.
