Material Handler

The Role:

Come join our world class company making great consumer products like Jergens Lotion! The role is responsible for preparing shipments, loading and unloading materials from/to trailers.

Position is first shift 6:00am - 2:30pm (+ mandatory overtime)

What you will do:

• Prepare shipments to meet customer requirements.
• Load trailers in a manner to meet DOT requirements.
• Unload inbound materials and put away in accordance to WMS.
• Unload or load material from/to trailers.
• Deliver materials in correct quantities to production areas as required.
• Perform appropriate transactions in SAP.
• Prepare necessary paper work for transfers.
• Keep work area and equipment clean.
• Work in accordance with FDA and GMP procedures.

What you will need:

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Good math skills required.
• Fork Lift Experience: 2+ years
• Familiarity of WMS Radio Frequency scanners and their applications.
• Lift up to 70 lbs. on an infrequent, non-repetitive basis is required.
• Knowledge of weight distribution for proper trailer loading and ability to store and pull materials from a racked environment
• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Must posses attention to detail and flexibility to meet daily job requirements.
