Summary:

Responsible for receiving and distribution functions to include dock management, unloading trucks, processing receipts and shipments, staging and organizing deliveries, tagging capital assets, and accurate maintenance of all related documentation. Responsibilities:

*Unload shipments from delivery trucks in efficient and safe manner, and stage for receiving process.
*Receive and inspect packages, refuse damaged packages, sign for packages/shipments, and organize received shipments for proper staging and verification.
*Match packages and receipt documentation to Purchase Orders for correct items and quantities, receive in Lawson and note discrepancies, initiate resolution process.
*Pick departmental supply Par Orders and deliver in a timely order
*Research and place orders for any special departmental requirements
*Stage packages and shipments for internal delivery according to designated routes and schedules.
*Maintain order on receiving dock, monitor and enforce truck delivery schedule.
*Ensure files for housing receipts, department delivery/signatures, and other receiving and shipping related activities, documentation is accurately maintained.
*Organize, pack, and ship returns; and ensure all appropriate accounting and tracking documentation is completed and recorded/filed appropriately.
*Manage will-call pick up of received packages, and support stat delivery of packages to requesting departments, as needed.
*Receive capital equipment/assets delivered to dock, manage storage and staging, communicate to appropriate departments for inspection and check-in, conduct asset tagging and data entry; and support safe delivery/transportation to requesting department.
*Support annual physical inventory of capital assets and report discrepancies.
*Responsible for proper use, maintenance/upkeep, and charging of all receiving and distribution equipment, e.g., pallet jacks, dock levelers, delivery carts, computers, tagging equipment, etc.
*Optimize the use of Lawson and available technologies to better perform tasks, and to improve services and outcomes; including inventory and Par Order updates, package tracking and receipt document automation
*Ensure 100% compliance with all Federal and State healthcare regulations, TJC standards, and PHS Policies and Procedures
*Support Supply Chains emergency/disaster preparedness and response, and support PHS Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) efforts
*Support holding key supply chain suppliers accountable for service standards, e.g., acute supply distributor, non-acute supply distributor, DME supplier, courier services, freight management, UPS/FedEx, etc.
*Support education and communications plans for all user-departments and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with Supply Chain Policies and Procedures and to improve customer satisfaction.
*Assist in annual department operational and capital budgets, and manage Logistics operations to meet/exceed approved budgets.
*Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends and recommend operational improvements to Supervisor and Director of Patient Support Operations.
*Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

*High School Diploma
*3 years experience in healthcare supply chain operations, with focus on receiving and distribution, and OR Supply Management preferred.
