The Electrical Process Engineer is responsible for assisting with the design of power and mixed signal circuits. Under direct supervision, performs design and component selection from a specification. Expand knowledge in regard to components and system design.

Duties:

  • Work independently or within a team environment.

  • Ensure that project schedules are met.

  • Work with all engineering disciplines to understand basic component theory and practical realization.

  • Work with interns, test engineering, and engineering technicians on specific program tasks including test procedure development.

  • Design and evaluate components using available design tools.

  • Follow established standard design process. Understand manufacturing approach and limitations. Perform review before design release.

  • Prepare presentations for gated design reviews.

  • Provide simulation results along with tolerances analysis when applicable.

  • Design and evaluate test circuits.

  • Correlate expected performance with test results.

  • Present results in a clear and concise manner.

  • Provide support once design is in production.

  • Support MRB process.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • A basic understanding and strong interest in electronics.

  • Ability to design experiments, analyze the data and conduct structured problem solving.

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic understanding of circuit simulation and modeling tools.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Strong computer skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Actively pursues opportunities to expand job-related knowledge.

  • Executes on program plans and priorities, identifies obstacles and issues and communicates to achieve resolution for assigned tasks.

  • Participates and works well within a cross-functional team to achieve desired results

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of one year experience inspecting printed circuit boards

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related science

  • Must have a general knowledge of methods used to training people in the operation and theory of the processes they operate

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
