Scale Clerk

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Scale Clerk to work at our site in Angleton, TX. In this position you will be checking trucks in and out of our landfill. You will also have other basic administrative duties. You will be in constant communication with the management team. Must have strong computer skills and be very detailed and organized. This is a very fast paced position which does include working in all weather conditions.

This position Is Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5:30 pm. On top of competitive pay we offer family benefits, dollar for dollar matching 401k, vacation, and year round work. With patience and hard work there is a lot of opportunity for advancement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station.

• Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.

• Calculate payments for customers.

• Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

• Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.

• Must have flexible availability to include weekends.

• Proficiency in Spanish & English a plus.
