JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Project Manager to join our markets team providing services for assigned JLL clients with superior client service. Candidate should be familiar with the construction process, be capable of working autonomously and within a team and comfortable supporting multiple projects simultaneously. Good communication skills are a must. The PM assists the senior project manager with the day-to-day efforts related to programming, planning, design, construction and close out for assigned projects and provides support to meet client objectives and JLL requirements.

What this job involves:

Project Management

  • Respond in a timely manner to all project manager and client requests.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other software related to cost and budget tracking.
  • Prepare professional reports, meeting minutes, presentations and client deliverables related to multiple projects.
  • Maintain and update project document libraries and required project management software for all assigned projects.
  • Assist with vendor coordination and contract execution documentation.
  • Assist with multiple projects concurrently including reporting, contracts, invoicing, and finance.
  • Maintain project budgets including hard and soft costs.
  • Maintain documentation and confirming compliance with lien release and certificate of insurance requirements.
  • Assemble and manage the RFP/RFQ process for required consultants and contracts.
  • Provide FF&E bidding, support and implementation along with the client and design team.
  • Assist project lead with on-site supervision as required.
  • Develop relationships with consultants/contractors/vendors and regularly evaluating their performance on assigned projects.
  • Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk with Manager or Project Lead.
  • Manage the complete close out and documentation process for assigned projects.
  • Be a champion of safety at all times.
  • Work with accounting team to ensure invoicing and payment is accurate and timely.
  • Manage expenses on monthly basis.
  • Continuously strive to improve project management processes and efficiencies.

Desired Skills & Experience for this job:

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.

YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 2-5 years of project management experience

SKILLS & JOB COMPETENCIES

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Highly organized & detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally at all times.
  • Ability to serve multiple clients at any given time.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with internal & external clients.
  • Experience with both corporate interiors and small ground up projects is preferred.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of construction, architecture, and the commercial real estate industry.

OTHER ABILITIES

  • Ability to excel working within a team structure and support the objectives of the project lead.
  • Assumes responsibility for tasks of moderate complexity and continues to aggressively improve skill base.
  • Ability to work in client's preferred project management software solution(s)

PHYSICAL WORK REQUIRMENTS & WORK CONDITIONS

  • Position requires employee to visit active job sites with daily client and contractor interaction.
  • Daily interpersonal interaction is required in order to perform the job.
