Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for an Entry-Level Interior Designer at our Bloomington, MN office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assists in developing, sustainable interior design solutions under the direction of more experienced interior designers.
  • Assists in developing, concept design, space planning, graphic presentations, finish boards (digital and physical) and construction documents.
  • Coordinating with multi-disciplinary in-house team members and sub-consultants.
  • Researching, evaluating, and selecting furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), materials, and finishes to meet client needs and budget
  • Maintaining the resource library and connection with vendors to provide designers with industry trends
  • Other tasks as assigned.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in architecture, interior architecture, or interior design from a CIDA, NAAB, or similar accredited university.

The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:

  • Previous related internship experience in interior design
  • Experience with design for commercial, aviation, institutional, governmental and/or public space projects
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and visualization software
  • Experience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors
  • Experience assisting in the development of interiors projects from programming to completion.

Salary Range: $54,000 to $63,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
