Position Summary/Department Summary:
We are currently seeing an experience pharmacist with oncology experience to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting and evaluating medication orders to ensure drug and dosage are appropriate for patient and to identify possible adverse reactions, contacting physician as needed.
  • Reviewing, filling and dispense physician medication orders/prescriptions.
  • Checking orders/prescriptions filled by support personnel, verifying products are correctly prepared and labeled.
  • Providing drug information as a subject matter expert.
  • Providing patient education.
  • Completing medication history documentation.
  • Performing quality improvement activities.
  • Supervising support personnel within assigned work area and ensuring products are prepared and distributed in accordance with established procedures, schedules and protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy; Doctorate degree in Pharmacy preferred.
Experience:
  • Three to four years of previous Pharmacist experience preferred, previous hospital-based oncology pharmacy experience highly preferred.
  • Current license and registration by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
  • Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs.
  • Communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions and welldeveloped writing skills.
Licensure:
  • Current license and registration by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
Schedule: M-F 8-hour shift. Primarily days with rotating every fourth weekend

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
