SPA's Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 100 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, product support, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects in the Navy's Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the Navy's Team Submarine Office. #FC Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide approximately part-time or full-time support to the PEO IWS 2.0 Above Water Sensors Directorate. We are seeking a dedicated mid or senior level Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering (SE) support on Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities for the Future X-Band Radar (FXR) program. You will join a high performing team and be expected and be expected to possess and enhance a strong understanding of Digital Engineering and MBSE as well as a strong understanding DoD, Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command and PEO IWS instructions and processes (e.g., DoD 5000). You will provide programmatic and technical rigor and services in support of SE processes, including: digital engineering; MBSE; planning, execution and closure of System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs); technical writing; requirements management; risk management; configuration management; and technical artifact reviews. You will provide technical and programmatic services and must have ability to understand and communicate effectively with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and program management across all levels of government and industry. A hybrid work environment is acceptable; however, you must have the ability to work from SPA's 20 M St. office and travel up to 5-10% of the time (e.g. NSWC Dahlgren, and JHU/APL).
