Position Title: Network Administrator (Information Systems Specialist 7)
Job Description:
Oregon State Treasury is recruiting for the position of Network Administrator. This position is responsible for the support of the infrastructure needs of Oregon State Treasury by collaborating with peers in the Information Technology Division. This position works with IT Leadership, business divisions and executive leadership to offer innovative, secure, and resilient technology solutions, reinforcing Oregon State Treasury's integrity, trust, and stewardship.
Follow established change management policies and procedures. Plan, schedule, and perform installations and major upgrades, ensuring version compatibility and system requirements, whilemonitoringperformance and implementing security measures.
Adhere to the procurement process foracquiringtechnology and software. Design, install, manage, and upgrade network infrastructure, including physical and cloud infrastructures, LAN/WAN security.Ensuring compliance with disaster recovery plans andmaintainingbackup systems for network architecture.
Collaborate with the InfoSec teamNetwork Securityto implement data protection controls, manage virtual infrastructure, andutilizenetwork monitoring tools for performance and security improvements. Align network architecture with security benchmarks.
Mentor Service Desk cross functional team members andlower levelISS staff for development of their skills in troubleshooting, documenting change management, process improvement and learning networking skills and processes.
Align strategic growthplansof organization with new systems and appliances in infrastructure. Address resourceutilization, acquisition strategies, disaster recovery, system performance, and security.
Evaluate assets for lifecycle, serviceagreementsand warranties.Ensure assets are assigned to locations in Asset Management systems as they are distributed.Make recommendations ahead of budget cycle to Chief Technology officer on replacements,upgradeand new infrastructure needs.
This position will have the opportunity for a hybrid (remote and in-office) work location schedule; in-office work will be predominately from Treasury's Tigard office . This position will work from the office at least one day per week to support infrastructure teams onsite needs. Additional days in the office may needed for network administrator in office duties, projects, infrastructure changes or testing.
During the initial training period, employees are expected to be in the office more frequently to support onboarding, learning, and collaboration.
$82,152-$124,128 annually.
This position is classified as an Information Systems Specialist 7. This position is a SEIU represented position .
Required Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND four (4) years of information systems experience in network administration; OR
Experience with customer service with network infrastructure request Level 3 &4 complexity; resolution involves service desk escalations for changes to network architecture, changes to existing rules and guidelines, troubleshooting new and unusual network experiences, etc.)
Experience with networking environments with Windows OS, Linux OS, Network Security tools, Firewalls, Switches, and cloud infrastructure network and security applications.
Experience in creating documentation for change management, incident resolution, knowledge articles, and strategic documents to ensure business continuity.
Experience in aligning network architecture with security benchmarks. Implement data protection controls, manage virtual infrastructure, and utilize network monitoring tools for performance and security improvement.
Experience leading strategic growth plans of organization with new systems and appliances in infrastructure. Address resource utilization, acquisition strategies, disaster recovery, system performance, and security.
