Job Summary
The Technician I supports the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment, systems, and facilities under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers. This role ensures smooth functioning of operations through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and accurate recordkeeping, while adhering to safety standards and operational procedures. Job Responsibilities
Assist senior technicians or engineers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and systems
Perform routine inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address abnormalities
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical documentation
Operate and calibrate equipment and instruments to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels, using CMMS or other tracking tools
Support setup and teardown of equipment for production, testing, or experiments following SOPs and safety guidelines
Participate in training and skill development programs to enhance technical knowledge
Adhere to safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in a technical or maintenance role, preferably in manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial environments
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
Education
Work Experience
1-3 years in technical, maintenance, or related roles
Experience with CMMS or other maintenance tracking software preferred
Familiarity with safety regulations and industrial best practices
