Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced Logistics & Operations Manager to lead distribution and logistics operations across our Anchor Packaging manufacturing operations in Northeast Arkansas. This role will lead a team of supervisors and warehouse associates who collaborate daily with manufacturing operations to ensure safe, timely, reliable and efficient distribution execution across 4 facilities operating 24/7. This individual will be based out of our Paragould, AR facility but will also support locations in Jonesboro, AR and Truman, AR.

Our Team

Georgia-Pacific Northeast Arkansas facilities produce plastic packaging products under the Anchor Packaging name. These manufacturing locations employee ~900 individuals dedicated to applying innovative processes to produce high quality rigid containers and cling film for the food service industry.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and lead a warehousing operations team supporting 24/7 production operations across multiple facilities
  • Develop strategies to achieve continuous performance improvements in operational efficiency, safety, and compliance
  • Effectively lead and manage a dynamic team of front-line Distribution Supervisors in all aspects of safety, compliance and operating excellence
  • Establish clear performance expectations, monitor, and proactively drive improvement while providing continuous feedback to promote site/ team / individual development and growth
  • Provide leadership to continue thetransformation ofour culture to align with PBM. Apply Principle Based Management principles and strategies to drive better results, mentoring the organization to apply PBM thinking and developing others around you
  • Ability to quickly assess performance or capability gaps and take corrective action to mitigate risk, developing strategies to drive improvement
  • Review, establish and maintain procedures, work practices, equipment availability, risks, and potential interrupters in all areas of our operation

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience managing other salaried leaders in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or related environment
  • Experience coaching, developing employees, and driving accountability in all aspects of operational performance, safety and compliance
  • Experience using data to drive metrics and develop process improvement opportunities based on trend analysis
  • Analytics and computer systems experience including MS Office, ERP, and Warehouse Management systems
  • Communications skills with experience effectively communication with all levels of the organization in both verbal and written communications
  • Experience with financial decisions, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience leading both salaried and hourly employees
  • Successful track record and extensive knowledge leading food grade warehousing operations with adherence to AIB, SQF, BRC or similar standards
  • Experience with warehouse and inventory management practices and systems (i.e. SAP, EWM, JDA, Blue Yonder, etc.)
  • Experience in leading complex operations through operational and systems integration and transformation
  • Experience with change management through facility startup, systems implementation, acquisition, etc.
