*Position Summary* The Clinic Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing clinic operations and supervising a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role partners closely with clinical and administrative leadership to maintain operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service standards.
*Key Responsibilities* * Provide direct supervision of approximately 36 Wilmington clinic staff, including Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), Medical Assistants (MAs), and front desk personnel. * Oversee the delivery of patient care services, ensuring adherence to clinical, quality, and service standards that meet or exceed patient and organizational expectations. * Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary departments to resolve patient care issues and address access and capacity demands. * Serve as a patient advocate by identifying, addressing, and resolving patient concerns related to care and services. * Recommend, evaluate, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, systems performance, and patient outcomes. * Supervise the appropriate use, maintenance, and inventory of medical equipment, supplies, and medications. * Assist the Site Administrator in developing, maintaining, and evaluating staff competencies across all clinic departments. * Ensure the consistent implementation and monitoring of departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. * Collaborate with physicians, the Medical Director, Site Administrator, and Director of Ambulatory Services to support daily operations and optimize the level of patient services provided. * Assist in managing human resources-related matters, including labor relations, employee relations, workplace safety, risk management, and compliance issues. * Support the resolution of administrative and operational challenges impacting clinic performance. * Participate in management and leadership meetings as required. * Lead the full lifecycle management of non-provider medical group staff, including selection, hiring, onboarding, training, supervision, and retention. * Conduct performance evaluations and provide recommendations regarding merit increases, promotions, corrective actions, and disciplinary measures. * Identify and resolve issues within both administrative and clinical workflows. * Ensure staff are properly trained and operate in compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements. *Required Skills* * Strong customer service and patient advocacy skills * Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems * Registered Nurse (RN) clinical expertise * Proven supervisory and leadership capabilities *Qualifications* * Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers certification (American Heart Association only) * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association only) * Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, home care, nursing home, or similar healthcare setting * At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a healthcare environment * Highly organized with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, electronic medical records, and the ability to quickly learn new applications * Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct administrative staff *Preferred Experience:* * Experience with health plan auditing and CMS requirements * Experience in mentorship, counseling, and providing performance feedback *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilmington, CA 90744. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $46.00 - $62.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
