Location:Huntersville, NC

Job Summary

Electrical Engineer will design, install, and commission various machine control systems and power distribution systems. Will be responsible for managing several projects simultaneously. Will be responsible for producing accurate schedules and budgets for the same. Will support maintenance staff as required and support area engineers as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing automation and control systems for equipment
  • Apply standard procedures to trouble shoot mechanical and electrical components, diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Complete projects from design through commissioning
  • Prepare and present engineering project BOMs for budgeting and procurement
  • Provide proper documentation as required to support maintenance and operation of new equipment
  • Capable of designing original concepts,designing systems within estimated budgets
  • Capable of generating accurate project estimates and schedules
  • Must work with vendors and contractors to complete assigned projects while coordinating with plant management groups to complete projects on schedule
  • Must keep abreast of current trends and technology, and utilize this information effectively
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Huntersville systems such as operations, maintenance, material handling, and hands on machine operation
  • Develop cost estimates and proposals for electrical systems.
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree along with 2+ years directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • AutoCAD Experience required
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems
  • Must have excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to deal with multiple challenges and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal along with outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills are required.
  • Must have excellent organization, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must have strong analytical and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel 25%.
