Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Director of Operations (MES/HTS) to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Director of Operations (MES/HTS) will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of services, maintaining compliance with client service level agreements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance organizational performance. This is a vital, client-facing, team-supporting role within the highly effective global team that operates and enhances the Medicaid Management Information System

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and directs the day-to-day Medicaid Management Information System business operations and directly oversees maintenance and operations activities.
  • Directs Operations functional teams across the MMIS business and works independent of supervision.
  • Provides highly strategic direction across multiple programs. Works independent of supervision.
  • Oversees programs with a typical team size of 35 resources with an annual budget and oversees direct reports within the operations.
  • Oversees compliance to Service Level Agreements, includes monitoring and tracking client specific SLAs to ensure SLAs are met. If an SLA is not met, works with teams on corrective actions to prevent missing SLAs in the future.
  • Works closely with subcontractors and vendors and provides input for subcontractor and vendor contracts.
  • Leads key management decisions working closely with senior management.
  • Fosters and demonstrates thought leadership in improving operations and collaborates with systems in identifying improvements.
  • Develops relevant metrics for the Operations function and uses metrics as a basis for communication and continuous improvement.
  • Provides support in transformation and change management initiatives as they pertain to the Operations team and to Acentra Health's overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of operations methodologies, best practices, and procedures; and applies them to projects to ensure that Operations team objectives are achieved.
  • Interfaces with senior management and can be called upon to provide industry best practices.
  • Provides input to management for the operations functional team budgets.
  • Synthesizes many perspectives or conflicting ideas to arrive at a recommended path forward.
  • Partners with clients and analyzes issues and problems from the client perspective.
  • Keeps abreast of new technology and market developments.
  • Adheres to Acentra Health standards and processes.
  • Recruits and evaluates highly skilled, motivated leaders and individual contributors, and recommends potential new hire resources to meet client commitments in alignment with project objectives.
  • Closely coordinates with Operations Leaders accountable for Change Requests, Project Management, Application System Analysis, Software Quality Assurance, Enterprise Information Services, Delivery Services, and the Enterprise Program Management Office.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years of operations leadership experience at large complex organizations, including leading centralized or matrixed teams OR (The Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree is typically required, the company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidates has an Associate's degree, the company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree).
  • Knowledge of contract and procurement processes.
  • Experience with HealthCare operations. Experience with Public Sector HealthCare programs.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and across functional lines.
  • Highly organized with analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to task/project changes, possessing a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with varying priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written) with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Able to work within multiple groups of employees, willingly share time, knowledge and information with others. (same

  • This role may require up to 50% travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of infrastructure and application technology stacks.
  • Understanding of SharePoint applications, Teams, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Visio, with a working knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Domain knowledge of Medicaid, or healthcare verticals.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Technical understanding with ability to communicate and translate technical impacts, technical solutions, root cause, and corrective actions into business concepts or layman's terms.
  • Ability to mentor individuals to senior and management roles.
