About This Role
This position is a primary member of the Academic Technology unit housed within the Office of the Registrar and utilizes a teamwork approach to ensure that the office is providing quality service while adhering to University policies and procedures. Responsible for participating in the delivery of quality services by the unit, determines within the basic guidelines and rules the release of student confidential academic information in accordance to applying complex provisions according to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) and university policies as well as applying such in resolving issues related to students' academic permanent records, academic technology systems, and student services; supports the daily tasks of the area, and serves as a content area expert/liaison between the office and key university offices. Assists the Assistant Registrar for Academic Technology in planning and monitoring improvements to the area. Following a successful probationary period, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work experience allowing up to 3 days remote. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
