Your Job

The GP IT Infrastructure organization is hiring a Sr. IT Manager to lead and continuously improve our end-to-end compute, audio-visual, and endpoint service offerings. This role is responsible for the delivery of those service offerings by leveraging internal partners and a team of direct reports.

This is a strategic and operational leadership position that requires a strong bias for action, financial discipline, cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for operational excellence that drive desirable outcomes.

What You Will Do

This role will be known internally as the Compute & Endpoint Service Owner and your responsibilities will be:

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical professionals, applying PBM principles to foster self-actualization and continuous capability development to maximize individual and team contributions.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, disciplined operations, and transparent communication.
  • Continually make changes so your team has the right combination of perspectives, experiences, aptitudes, knowledge and skills to drive profitable outcomes

Service Ownership

  • Define and collaborate on the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your services, ensuring alignment with GP's technology, security, and business objectives.
  • Own the delivery of your service offerings in partnership with other teams:
    • Service maturity levels, KPIs, and other performance metrics
    • Incident, problem, and change execution quality; Serve as an escalation point for major service issues
    • Lifecycle management, modernization pace, and risk reduction
  • Drive continuous improvement using metrics, stakeholder feedback, and structured methods (Plan-Do-Check-Adjust).
  • Ensure service offerings remain cost-effective by ensuring financial cost transparency, producing consumption reports, forecasting costs, and identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Maintain and continuously improve service standards, patterns, and architectural alignment in partnership with the Architecture, Cyber, and Koch Operations teams.
  • Stay current on trends in technologies associated with your service offering and leverage sound judgment to distinguish impactful innovation from hype.

Technologies included in the Service Offerings are:

  • Compute: servers, thin clients, storage, etc.
  • Endpoints: camera, manufacturing tablets, handheld scanners, workstations, etc.
  • Audio-visual: conference room and collaboration technology, etc.

A Day in the Life Could Include:

  • Reviewing service performance dashboards and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Engaging with your team and partners on service-level issues, lifecycle risks, and infrastructure improvement plans
  • Serving as escalation point for major compute, endpoint, and audio-visual incidents
  • Partnering with Security, Architecture, and Operations to align compute capabilities, patterns, and roadmaps
  • Meeting with business and manufacturing stakeholders to understand needs, friction points, and improvement opportunities
  • Coaching team members and enabling professional growth
  • Sharing best practices and standards across the GP manufacturing and IT communities
  • Participating in senior leadership reviews
  • Traveling up to 10% to meet with manufacturing site teams and/or internal customers

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 4+ years of experience leading and developing technical infrastructure teams
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, including KPI definition, trending, and operational reporting
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a people and process-first mindset

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Experience with infrastructure lifecycle strategy, modernization programs, or large-scale infrastructure migrations
  • Prior experience as a Service Owner, Technical Lead, or Senior Infrastructure Engineer
  • Experience managing cross-functional or distributed teams and developing TCO financials
