- Role created due to increased procurement volume. Seeking a strong buyer to support expanding department needs. Would be managing 30-60 procurement requests and reduce backlog. Handle asset management, SaaS procurement, and SLA/contract term negotiations. Lead RFPs, sourcing events, and supplier negotiations.
- Support procurement across technologyrelated commodities. IT procurement experience required. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationshipbuilding skills. Ability to interpret complex requests and ask targeted questions. Advanced Excel preferred, reporting experience beneficial. Experience with Ariba (preferred) or Coupa.

Requirements:
- The buyer/contingent will be responsible for the creation and execution of procurement strategies across various purchasing categories/commodities. These responsibilities will include developing and implementing multi-year spend strategies, planning and managing sourcing (RFx) events, supporting the development, negotiation and execution of contractual documents (MSA's, SOW's amendments), and building strong relationships with business units, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- The buyer will manage procurement activities related to requests involving Tier I and II suppliers (suppliers offering financial or "regulatory" services to client). To this end, the buyer must have a strong understanding of financial and regulatory compliance standards and practices. Financial services/banking experience is beneficial.
- This person performing this role must be capable of influencing across all levels of management, business, and supplier teams, leveraging experience, negotiation skills and integrating external benchmarking and KPI/metric data to affect delivery outcomes from suppliers that meet and exceed expectations.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and negotiate contractual agreements supporting strategic and/or tactical sourcing plans including but not limited to; master supplier agreements/addendums, statements of work, amendments, product schedules, renewals, extensions, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Development of strategic sourcing framework with creating strategies across products/services and commodities by developing and implement strategies for responsible commodities.
- Execute sourcing plans that support business unit objectives and maximize profitability through lower costs, rebates, volume discounts, or revenue generation opportunities and support innovation, improved service levels, improved relationships to facilitate operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
- Experience in supporting professional services commodities.
- Facilitate regular planning meetings with business units and develop short-term and long-term procurement strategies.
- Lead and facilitate sourcing initiatives (RFx) in collaboration with client Management, business units, stakeholders, suppliers and/or client affiliates ensuring that a competitive environment is maintained throughout the sourcing event.
- Oversight/execution of strategic sourcing functions, contracts and RFx sourcing events.
- Participate/facilitate with contract negotiations to ensure alignment with sourcing processes and overall client procurement strategy.
- Provide consultation and support for expiring / expired and termination of engagements and ensure contract renewal and amendments are proactively planned / budgeted for.
- Responsible for supporting purchase requests for Tier 1 and Tier 2 *** commodities and ongoing supplier market analysis.
- Work with customers to provide strategic direction in building business requirements.
- Collaborate with IPSS contract and PO teams to ensure requests are completed accurately and timely.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate expertise and ensure compliance with respect to all procurement concepts, policies and procedures, assisting with identifying requirements and interpreting and documenting those requirements such that internal customers and suppliers clearly understand all obligations and expectations of the contractual agreement(s).
Customer Support:
- Educate and train customers and team members around the sourcing and contracting process and best practices and negotiation strategies to maximize cost effectiveness of relationship.
- Ensure frequent communication between all key project and sub-department parties including customers, suppliers, and other appropriate stakeholders.
- Continually review and monitor current processes for potential Kaizen opportunities.
- Responsible for proactive communication with internal and external customers regarding the status of their work as well as escalating tasks/issues as appropriate.
Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves):
- Bachelor's degree in business or related supply chain management discipline required.
- 5 years' experience in contract development, sourcing, negotiations, data analytics and contract management required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership experience/skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with different groups/individuals and management levels in a professional manner.
- Must demonstrate strong analytical skills, with attention to detail required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to seek out and offer business-oriented solutions to complex compliance problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and efficiently with low margin of error.
- Experience in organizing, prioritizing, and handling multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency and in a flexible manner.
- Experience in leading or participating as a key contributor on projects.
- Experience in supporting professional services commodities.
- Work with customers to provide strategic direction in building business requirements.
Added bonus if you have (Preferred):
- Knowledge of eMarketplace and Ariba Spend Management preferred.
