About the team:

Revenue Connect is FIS's nextgen cloud platform reinventing commercial pricing and billing for banks of all sizes. We're building from the ground up using AWS, modern UI/UX patterns, and eventdriven, APIfirst services to eliminate decades of technical debt and deliver the speed, accuracy, and transparency banks expect.

As a hands-on Principal Engineer, you'll be a technical leader at the center of this transformation - shaping architecture, accelerating delivery, defining engineering excellence, and driving innovations that directly impact revenue, client experience, and operational resilience. You'll work shouldertoshoulder with design, product, and engineering leadership to solve complex problems, deliver performant multitenant services, expand into new deposit core integrations, and influence the roadmap of a flagship product on the bleeding edge of innovation. In 2026 we're making AI a firstclass product capability and a forcemultiplier for engineering: you'll lead the design and delivery of AI features (from embedding generative AI into statements or dashboards, intelligent anomaly and exception detection for billing accuracy, AI driven pricing and fee optimization advisor, conversational AI etc. possibilities are endless and so are our ambitions to differentiate this product in the market). Be responsible to set the technical strategy for safe, governed use of models and data, and upskill the team to use AI across the SDLC for faster, higherquality delivery

What you will be doing:

• Translate complex or ambiguous requirements into clean, maintainable, scalable, and well documented code.
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems that provide value to end-users.
• Lead architecture & delivery for AIpowered account analysis and billing.
• Implement and optimize algorithms, data usage, and cloud services for latency, availability, and cost.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure business continuity, and a high bar for end-user experience.
• Raise the engineering bar via rigorous code and design reviews that enforce maintainability, security, performance, and AI safety
• Write unit & integration tests, implement observability, and comply with best practices for builds and deployment to ensure the quality and reliability of our platform.
• Provide live on-call support by participating in the team on-call rotation and owning production issues from root cause analysis to resolution to future prevention.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, security, compliance etc.) to bring ideas to life
• Set and maintain high standards of technical excellence across the team. Mentor senior/junior engineers; introduce AIassisted development/testing patterns; help hire and develop a diverse, highperforming team.

What you will need:

• At a minimum, a Bachelor's in CS or equivalent experience. Typical qualifications for the role are 10 or more years of relevant professional experience or a combination of work experience and advanced education.
• Proven experience shipping AIenabled features in production: modeldriven decisions, anomaly detection, forecasting/optimization, or LLMpowered experiences-plus MLOps practices
• Proficiency in at least one modern development framework / language (e.g., Java).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading projects from architectural design to production, while setting and maintaining high standards of technical excellence across your team.
• Expertise in at least one area relevant to our cloud-based financial platform (e.g., fintech, distributed systems, databases, security, or front-end).
• Security, privacy, and compliance acumen for financial data (encryption, leastprivilege, secrets management, auditability) and AI safety
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and distributed systems.
• Experience with version control systems (Git), and DevOps practices like continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Leadership and communication. Track record leading projects from architecture to production, influencing crossfunctional stakeholders, and mentoring engineers to raise the bar.

Added bonus if you have:

• Proven ability to self-direct your technical work and scope projects effectively.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Deep expertise in at least one area relevant to our cloud-based financial platform (e.g., fintech, distributed systems, databases, security, or front-end).
• Proficiency in modern development frameworks and languages. (e.g., Java).
• A strong understanding of security best practices for building enterprise applications.
• Prior work in fintech or billing/analysis systems, or largescale anomaly detection/optimization problems.
• Handson with GenAI/LLMs (RAG), vector stores, and guardrail frameworks; experience evaluating models (quality, safety, cost).

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $148,310.00 - $249,160.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
