JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State is seeking a Part-Time Contracts Assistant to join the Penn State Global and Office of Central Procurement teams. This position will dually report to both units in an effort successfully execute international contracts for Education Abroad programs. This position would be an exciting opportunity for a current undergraduate or graduate student or recent graduate interested in the field of international education, international affairs, or legal studies.This position will start at approximately $18/hour with an expected 20 hours per week for the duration of the academic year and an option for a summer 2026 employment (to be discussed). Job Duties:

Support the education abroad team in implementing contractual arrangements following established guidelines. -
Work with Office of Central Procurement follow established processes, guidelines and policies for contract review and preparation and. Types of service contracts may include but are not limited to: education abroad, software, facility use, etc. -
Review and make recommendations for efficiencies to established contract process for education abroad contracts. -
Review contracts assigned to this position to confirm minimum requirements are met which may include communicating with various University compliance partner offices to address items such as:

Meet on a routine basis with Office of Central Procurement and Penn State Global to discuss the status of Penn State Global education abroad contracts and to prioritize follow up on outstanding contracts. -
As time permits assist Office of Central Procurement with contract preparation for contracts outside of Penn State Global.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidates who have been or are currently enrolled in a graduate program related to international education, higher education administration, public administration, legal studies, or similar.

The candidate must be able to work autonomously and take accountability for integrating themselves within each team. - Creative approaches to project management, the ability to work with complex systems and multiple stakeholders, and a positive attitude are great assets to success in Education Abroad.

The contracts assistant position is available for the upcoming academic academic year. Preference may be given to candidates who can commit to working in both fall and spring semester and to those candidates who are available immediately for training and potentiall for a summer start date. -
