GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for the daily operations of cost accounting, including inventory valuation, invoice coding and processing, monthly close,reporting of key lines, budgeting/forecasting, and support of the commercial & operations functions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain a cost accounting system, documentation, and records

Maintain books and records in accordance with US GAAP

Perform monthly accounting close and variance analysis of key accounts, including inventory analytics, cost of goods sold, and gross profit by customer

Invoice processing and accruals related to inbound freight and in-transit inventory

Review costs for all inventory, labor, and material purchases

Prepare monthly account reconciliations

Perform quarterly obsolescence calculations for North America and EMEA entities

Perform quarterly reasonability testing on consignment inventory

Build and maintain the cost of goods sold budget and rolling monthly forecasts

Report monthly KPI data to corporate stakeholders using external systems/webforms

Prepare information for audits and other ad hoc projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting

3+ years of relevant inventory accounting, general accounting experience or related experience

Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills

Strong analytical/problem-solvingskills

Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Accurate and precise attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

SAP and/or M3 system experience

Excellent time management skills

Ability to be a self-starter and deadline-oriented
