Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solutions Architect for an onsite position with a Major Financial Institution located in McLean, VA. This is a contract to hire opportunity. This role will provide leadership and oversight for the Solutions Architecture for Business Applications. You will lead a number of highly visible initiatives to support business and engineering teams, helping to drive a transformation into Agile Architecture aligned with modern delivery methodology. The ideal candidate is a transformation champion passionate about technology, with a demonstrable record of enabling enterprise change through architectural leadership. Responsibilities: Introduce the overall technical vision for a particular solution by defining and establishing the solution architecture Define High Level Solution Intent, target state architectures and their roadmaps for portfolio products Define and create reference architectures and architecture/design patterns to ensure consistent implementation of the architecture roadmaps Own and drive development and maintenance of detailed solution intent and product architecture Plan and Develop Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities Identify solution alternatives and/or new technologies to meet new business needs or tackle existing business concerns Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Risk & Security groups to ensure new and existing solutions are aligned with enterprise standards Work with development leads on design brainstorming and design review to ensure alignment with architecture, patterns and standards Requirements: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 18+ years of overall experience 15+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Business Application and Java development 10+ years of relevant task management experience 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Solution Architect able to follow business problems and interact with stakeholders Hands-on experience with design patterns, architectural patterns, Gen AI and data modernization Extensive experience in Solution Architecture patterns such as micro-front ends, microservices, 12 factor applications etc. Hands-on and architectural experience with modern Cloud Native architectures 5+ years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to architecture Desired skills: Advanced degree Prior experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry Deep knowledge of various enterprise level Platforms widely used in the industry Highly motivated and energetic self-starter with proven organizational and time management skills Superb communication, leadership and relationship management skills Technical and Architectural leadership with knowledge of both legacy and modern cloud based distributed systems Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
