Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Yard Attendant in Edgewood, Maryland. The Yard Attendant is responsible for loading, unloading, receiving/releasing new/customer equipment and attachments, maintaining the equipment yard for easy access; directing the delivery of new equipment, returns. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the grounds of the service facility. Seeking candidates with previous experience operating construction equipment and forklift; High school diploma or GED, preferred.
Requirements for the Yard Attendant position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Yard Attendant job, including regularly being required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Starting Compensation Range: $22.09 - $27.29 per hour Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, and other business needs.
