The Workday Analytics & Insights Manager is an experienced individual contributor responsible for leading and advancing the enterprise HR reporting and analytics program. This role combines strategic program ownership with deep technical expertise in Workday HCM reporting.

You will oversee the full lifecycle of HR reporting solutions - from roadmap planning and solution design through governance, optimization, and stakeholder enablement. Acting as both program lead and technical subject matter expert, you will deliver scalable reporting capabilities that enable data-driven decision-making, ensure compliance, and support workforce strategy.

This position does not have direct reports but requires strong cross-functional leadership, influence without authority, and the ability to operate independently in a complex stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program Ownership & Strategy

  • Own and evolve the multi-year HR reporting and analytics roadmap, aligning initiatives to Talent and broader workforce strategy priorities.
  • Define and advance a long-term vision for Workday reporting and analytics capabilities, including scalability, automation, and self-service enablement.
  • Identify and prioritize strategic reporting initiatives that support workforce planning, talent insights, regulatory requirements, and executive decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional planning to ensure reporting solutions are sustainable, governed, and designed for future growth.
  • Evaluate new Workday features and analytics tools to continuously strengthen reporting capabilities.
  • Partner with WD Operations Reporting & HRIS to ensure reporting strategy supports evolving business and regulatory needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on the advancement of workforce analytics and reporting maturity.

Workday Reporting Design & Delivery

  • Gather and analyze business requirements; translate functional needs into scalable technical reporting solutions.
  • Design, build, test, debug, and deploy Workday HCM reports and dashboards.
  • Develop advanced reporting solutions using Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Matrix, Trending, Composite, Worksheets, Prism Analytics, and BIRT.
  • Create consolidated reporting solutions that combine data across multiple HCM and external data sources.
  • Review and optimize reports and calculated fields for accuracy, performance, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot complex reporting issues and resolve data or logic discrepancies.
  • Document report functionality and technical design to support long-term sustainability and audit readiness.

Governance, Compliance & Data Stewardship

  • Lead reporting reviews to ensure adherence to security roles, data privacy standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Workday Security team and Data Steward to maintain strong governance controls.
  • Support regulatory and compliance reporting including EEO-1, Affirmative Action Plans, benefits census, and other workforce reporting requirements.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to established documentation and change management standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Workday reporting.
  • Provide consultative guidance to HR, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Conduct high-level needs analyses and recommend scalable analytics solutions.
  • Deliver reporting training and promote reporting literacy and self-service adoption across the organization.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of talent systems and HR processes to inform reporting strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of progressive experience in Workday HCM reporting and analytics
  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday reporting experience including Calculated Fields, Advanced, Matrix, Trending, and Composite reporting
  • Demonstrated experience designing, testing, and deploying reports within an ERP system
  • Strong understanding of HCM data structures and reporting best practices
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives or programs
  • Ability to consolidate and analyze data from multiple data sources
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and execute independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics, BIRT, Worksheets, and Advanced Reporting
  • Workday Reporting certifications
  • SQL knowledge
  • Experience supporting HR functions within Professional Services or similar environments

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $102,800 - $176,000

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
