Description

Summary

Responsible for storing, moving, and managing the workload for the weld cells by bringing in fixtures and necessary parts needed for daily production as well as keeping area free from trash and debris. Responsible for contacting Press Department for needed parts. Also, basic welding duties in the bays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  1. Promotes the Company's mission and values-based culture through assisting in the production of correctly identified quality part
  2. Manage the location of weld fixtures, parts to be assembled, and completed welded parts in a well-organized manner.
  3. Safety- maintains clear isles for safe forklift travel.
  4. Quality - remove, return, or scrap any nonconforming parts from area.
  5. Coordinate parts from Press located in parts bins and location to designated location in Weld
  6. Check all parts for proper identification
  7. Report any problems in storage to his Supervisor.
  8. Complete daily shift forklift check sheets
  9. Operate forklift safely and follow forklift guidelines
  10. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience




  • Required formal education level and/or years of experience in Forklift operation.
  • PlayCore forklift license required.

Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as prints, bar codes and location sheets.

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to use drawing viewer on computer to verify dimensions.

  • Ability to pass internal forklift certification test

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, except in the manufacturing environment where PPE may be required. PPE is safety glasses and steel toed shoes.
