About The Job: This position is responsible for the safe operation of drilling equipment to prepare for blasting operations and to extract core samples from the earth's subsurface. What You'll Do: 1. Skills You'll Need: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Experience: Minimum one year experience operating a dredge. Certifications/Licenses: None required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Critical Competencies Technical Proficiency: Mastery of drilling equipment operation and maintenance. Knowledge of various drilling techniques and methodologies. Safety and Environmental Conscious: Commitment to adherence to safety, health and environmental protocols and guidelines. Ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the drilling environment. Utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) and promotion of a safety-first culture. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and address challenges or issues during drilling operations. Resourcefulness in finding solutions to unexpected problems. Attention to Detail: Precision in conducting drilling operations to extract accurate core samples. Thorough documentation of geological data and drilling activities. Communication Skills: Clear communication with team members, geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders. Effective reporting of drilling progress, issues, and findings.
