Exciting Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: Join the Andy Minn Lab as a Research Technician!

The Minn Lab studies factors that shape anti-tumor immunity, translating these insights into innovative therapeutic strategies, including cell therapies. Working directly with neuro-oncology physician-scientist Ivan Kotchetkov, you would help develop next-generation CAR T cell therapies for brain tumors and advance approaches to reduce central nervous system toxicities, directly contributing to safer, more effective immunotherapies for patients with hard-to-treat cancers.

Role Overview:

  • Laboratory Support: Prepare and maintain lab equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays, and other essential supplies.
  • Techniques & Assays: Perform specialized techniques, such as CRISPR screening, single cell multi-omics, flow cytometry, and extensive T cell engineering.
  • Animal Handling: Conduct animal studies, including injections, tissue/fluids collection, and animal autopsies.
  • Data Management: Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.
  • Collaboration: Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology/life sciences.
  • Experience with tissue culture and molecular biology techniques. Flow cytometry, CAR T cell production and T cell transduction experience is a plus.
  • Comfort working with mice, including monitoring, behavioral scoring, and rodent surgeries.

Pay Range: $26.21 - $39.24 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
