Chemical Engineering Co-Op - Fall 2026

The Role: Our site in Colorado Springs, CO - Rockrimmon is seeking a Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. Entegris is looking for a Chemical Engineering Co-Op to help with the start-up of a new membrane manufacturing process. In this position the candidate will learn and gain exposure to fundamentals of membrane formation processes. They may be involved in any one of the multiple manufacturing processes related to chemical engineering such as extrusion, precipitation, extraction, annealing, surface modification and/or analytical testing. The candidate will work with other engineers and operators on various tasks such as execution of DOE's, data collection, sample prep, testing and data analysis.
What You'll Do:
Work with an existing cross functional team including operations, membrane R&D, quality, procurement, facilities, EH&S and project management to make our new plant a success. Help to develop and qualify membrane processes on new equipment to meet KPOV targets. Run experiments on pilot and manufacturing equipment targeted at process optimization Utilize statistical tools to analyze experimental data to drive development Develop and drive new solutions to existing membrane/device manufacturing challenges such as improving yield, increasing capacity, and minimizing variation. Communicate with multicultural cross functional team and build consensus to drive projects to completion in a timely manner. Provide documentation support such as creating/maintaining drawings, SOPs, test procedures, test data.

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year: Candidate will be pursuing an B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering ideally graduating in 2027 or 2028
Eligibility:
Must be a currently enrolled student Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September. Must be familiar with the university's requirements to participate in a co-op program Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job requires the ability to stand for long periods. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and you must be able to move throughout the department/facility. Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The job is hands-on; the engineers are expected to be able to perform any and all tasks that operators would perform and use this intimate knowledge of process to make it as efficient and safe as possible. This is a manufacturing environment. It involves risks related to exposure to chemicals, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock and moderate to high noise levels. Person may be required to interact with on-site manufacturing warehouse. Wearing safety glasses, Nitrile Gloves, and other PPE when appropriate. Other safety garments or protection may need to be worn, depending on the nature of the work area.
