Role Summary

The Senior HR Data Analyst will support the needs of the business and the People and Culture department with data, reports, dashboards and insights.



Responsibilities

    Lead the design and delivery of workforce analytics to support strategic HR and business decisions
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling narratives for senior leadership
  • Monitor trends and KPIs across the employee lifecycle (e.g., hiring, retention, engagement)
  • Establish data governance protocols and collaborate with IT and HR Ops teams as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement in data quality and reporting capabilities
  • Standardize reporting across HR functions to ensure consistency and clarity
  • Support ad hoc reporting needs for HR leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Establish and steward a centralized library of HR metrics, definitions, and reporting standards
  • Conduct data analysis and visualization to support organizational understanding, planning and forecasting , compliance reporting, historical trend analyses, and leadership decision-making
  • Ensure high data quality through audits, validation, reconciliation, and cross-system checks.
  • Partner with IT to resolve data and data model issues and schedule deliverables based on resource availability and priority
  • Ensure alignment between HR systems and analytics strategy
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to HR leaders and cross-functional teams


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or IT, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a data analyst
  • Direct experience supporting an HR function
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, data validation); experience building dashboards and reports
  • Oracle experience preferred
  • Tableau or PowerBI experience preferred
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets, reconcile system data, and troubleshoot discrepancies
  • Ability to communicate the story of data through visualizations and/or narratives, translating technical concepts into easily digestible and meaningful documents
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, reproduce, and resolve complex problems in the area of HRIS Delivery and Data
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to Influence without Authority
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization


Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Compensation Information

The expected salary range for this position (Senior Data Analyst) in US-MA-Boston is between $100,000 and $141,000 USD. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk's total compensation package. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall compensation strategy. Salary ranges may differ by geography and are reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
