JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Forest Dynamics Lab in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management is looking for a part-time summer undergraduate research assistant to help with projects in forest ecology and management. Most work will be at local research sites and include forest measurements, tree-ring sampling, and research site maintenance, with occasional data entry and lab work. We are looking for someone interested in fieldwork, forests, and research; and who can enthusiastically work outside under a range of conditions, including rain and heat, and tolerate exposure to insects and briars.Additionally, we are looking for someone who is dependable and interested in working in a group. Priority will be given to students with tree identification and measurement skills. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.
