Position Title: Materials Specialist - Warehouse
Wage: $18/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday Step into a Warehouse Materials Technician role focused on accuracy, documentation, and material flow. You'll use math daily and must pass an 80%+ math and memory accuracy test. Candidates with backgrounds in inventory control, materials handling, or shipping/receiving will thrive here. This is an associate to hire role for a company in Cedar Rapids, IA. Materials Specialist - Warehouse Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Move raw materials to production areas with accuracy and correct documentation - Receive, store, and track incoming materials and components - Verify inventory accuracy by comparing physical counts to system records - Prepare and stage materials for assemblers and outbound shipments - Assist with shipping, receiving, packaging, and quality checks - Maintain clean, organized work areas following safety and housekeeping standards - Follow detailed written and verbal instructions across multiple departments - Use pallet jacks and other equipment as needed (forklift experience helpful but not required) Materials Specialist - Warehouse Requirements: - Ability to pass an 80%+ math and memory test (required for all applicants) - Experience in materials handling, inventory, shipping/receiving, or production support - Ability to read and interpret detailed work instructions - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced environments - Good communication skills and comfort working across multiple departments - Willing to learn inventory systems and material flow processes - Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stay active throughout the shift QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
