Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • This position is responsible for the ongoing education and sales of MercyCare products and Mercy Health System services to brokers and employer groups.
  • Position will develop contacts with potential groups to understand group; current insurance coverage, agent if any, renewal date, group size, educate the group on Mercy Health System and MercyCare Health Plans.
  • Position will also work be responsible for the sales of all MercyCare Medicare products.
  • Position will track and review information continuously with the Director of Sales and Network Development.
  • From information gathered and review with the Director of Sales and Network Development, revised marketing strategies will be developed and product offerings revised.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


Certification and Licensure

Wisconsin Insurance Sales License within 12 months

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Travel may be 75%of time.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Goldmine or similar software Contact Management systems; excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Ability to use a telephone and computer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Some independent judgment is required, but alternatives are limited by standard practices or procedures.
