Summary

Spire is seeking an Analyst III - GIS to work in the Integrity Department. This person will be responsible for using Spire's Geographical Information System and Maximo to support the company's integrity and other compliance programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete risk model assessments and analyses in third-party software for the Company's ESRI-based pipeline risk models.
  • Manage data and information in the integrity risk model including supporting the integration of leak and asset data into the GIS system. Incorporate external information and coordinate revisions of threat and consequence risk factors as appropriate.
  • Develop and manage detailed reports and summaries of risk assessments and comparative evaluations of risk reductions.
  • Coordinate development of specialized risk models, such as the rupture mitigation valve evaluations.
  • Support the completion, assignment, and GIS recording of class location, HCA, MCA, and 710 classifications using GIS and other external information.
  • Complete pipeline replacement priority models and other priority evaluation models. Support the development of long-range plans for replacement programs.
  • Support completion of federal/state pipeline safety-related regulatory reporting on annual, monthly and special project reports.
  • Coordinate the extract and uploading of pipeline information to the National Pipeline Mapping System (NPMS) annually.
  • Support updates to the Integrity Management Plans, including incorporation of risk model information into the plan.
  • Incorporate results of integrity assessments into the GIS system for future reference. Conduct site visits to field-based integrity work as needed.
  • Support corrosion control asset mapping, public awareness information, and other data/information in the GIS system as needed.
  • Support the company's compliance and maintenance programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with the GIS, Project Engineering, and Construction Engineering Departments, as needed, for ESRI information, records, and programming related to integrity activities.
  • Assist the GIS Department with quality checks of versioned data.
  • Support Pipeline and System Integrity during meetings and regulatory audits as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field required.
  • Valid driver's license,

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with GIS software applications.
  • Natural gas or other utility experience.
  • Intermediate level of general utility operations knowledge.
  • Experience in Python or Arcade programming language.

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Work is normally performed in a shared, open-office environment. Hybrid in-office / remote work schedule.
  • Work hours are typically 7:30AM - 4:00PM Monday through Friday.
  • <10% travel required.
  • Occasional on-call support is required.
