What to Expect

The Global TPM will lead end-to-end program execution for the global remanufacturing of Tesla Energy products across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific regions. In this role, they will be responsible for transforming new product introductions into scalable, cost-optimized, and high-quality remanufacturing operations; driving innovation in circular economy practices while ensuring alignment with Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.

They will own the full lifecycle of remanufacturing programs, beginning with early-stage manufacturability assessments and cross-functional business case development, and extending through equipment and production line design, site selection, pilot builds, and full-scale production launch. The Global TPM will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and service teams to ensure seamless integration of remanufacturing capabilities across global facilities. Their work will directly influence key business outcomes, including cost reduction, supply chain resilience, sustainability performance, and serviceability across Tesla's energy product ecosystem.

What You'll Do
  • Lead cross-functional remanufacturability assessments for new Tesla Energy products, engaging design, engineering, service, supply chain, and operations teams early in the product lifecycle to ensure manufacturability, testability, and repairability
  • Drive global standardization of remanufacturing line concepts, processes, and operational parameters across all Energy Remanufacturing sites ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability
  • Own the full program lifecycle: from concept to production launch-including business case development, equipment selection, site readiness, pilot validation, and full-scale ramp-up
  • Champion operational excellence: identify bottlenecks using data-driven analysis and lead root cause investigations to deliver sustainable improvements in throughput, yield, and downtime
  • Develop and execute detailed program plans for performance optimization, capacity expansion, and new line integration ensuring alignment with business, quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • Drive cost reduction and inventory optimization through innovative remanufacturing strategies, material reuse models, and lifecycle cost analysis
  • Establish and monitor KPIs (e.g., cost per unit, cycle time, first-pass yield, equipment uptime, reman cycle time) and deliver executive-level insights to senior leadership
  • Serve as the strategic liaison between Service Engineering, Planning, Product, and Operations teams to align on product compatibility, service supply chain simplification, and long-term reman strategy
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across global teams, translating complex technical challenges into clear, actionable plans and compelling narratives for executives and technical leads alike

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience. MBA or Master's in Engineering Management preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in large-scale manufacturing, industrial operations, or program management within high-volume, semi-automated or automated production environments
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional programs from concept to launch in global settings, especially in remanufacturing, or sustainable manufacturing initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute business cases with measurable outcomes (e.g., cost savings, throughput gains, cycle time reductions) backed by data and stakeholder alignment
  • Expertise in project & program management tools: JIRA, Microsoft Project, Advanced Excel, Confluence, or similar
  • Advanced data literacy: ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and drive decisions using dashboards, root cause analysis, and predictive modeling
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to present complex technical and financial concepts clearly and persuasively to executives, engineers, and operations teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% globally (including extended stays at remanufacturing sites in EMEA and APAC)
