| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
The Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a full-time Clinical (non-tenure track) Faculty position in the Department of Management. This is a nine-month faculty appointment formally starting Fall 2026, renewable on a 3-year basis. The initial appointment is for the 2026-2027 academic year. The position involves both teaching and administrative responsibilities as program director of the newly established graduate program in Entrepreneurship. The Program Director provides leadership for the M.S. in Entrepreneurship, advancing academic excellence, enrollment growth, experiential innovation, and integration with the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Director ensures administrative effectiveness in alignment with
UNC Charlotte's established Graduate Program Director responsibilities, including curriculum oversight, recruitment, admissions processes, student mentoring, communication with the Graduate School, and program assessment. This role also collaborates closely with the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (
CEI), whose mission emphasizes handson education, cross-sector collaboration, and ecosystem engagement. Preliminary work supporting the launch of the M.S. in Entrepreneurship will begin Spring and Summer 2026. The successful candidate will be asked to support the program launch during this time for an additional stipend. |

UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline. |
| Preferred Education, Skills and Experience |
Appointment at the rank of Clinical (non-tenure track) Faculty position in the Department of Management requires an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) or have been admitted to candidacy for the Ph.D. or D.B.A., in management or a related field. If an applicant has not earned their degree at the time of hire, then we will not be able to appoint them as a clinical faculty member. Any applicant who was admitted to candidacy but had not completed the degree prior to 8/15 would need to be appointed as a Lecturer until the doctoral degree is awarded.
Previous teaching experience of entrepreneurship-related coursework is preferred. Salary is competitive. Reappointment will depend on performance, departmental needs, and the College's budgetary situation.
