Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Unit

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Unit in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, support access control and visitor needs, and communicate clearly with teams on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts and/or dispatch as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization, manage visitor check-in, and report access-related concerns per site procedures.
• Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
